You allow to remap your Special-Keys to custom stuffs (nice). I use the last STABLE version (as of today: 9.40.86). Since this did not work I have tried to use the logitech options software to solve the problem. this makes IMPOSSIBLE to configure a custom Screen-Capture-Tool to map the key to the actual screen capture. So when you hit it, it open the MS SNIP & SKETCH Tool -> so you do not even really perform a capture on keystroke, you JUST open the MS tool which is able to perform a capture!!!Ģ) it is mapped to the "code" LWin (actually ALL your Special-Key map to LWin). On the contrary what your "F8"-Screenshot-Key does isġ) on keystroke calls "Windows + Shift + S". In this way it is possible to configure EVERY other custom Screen-Capture-Tool to map this key to the actual screen capture within a custom tool. The normal "Print Screen"-Key on EVERY other keyboard in the worldġ) on keystroke performs an ACTUAL screen capture (using MS out-of-the-box Print Screen)Ģ) it is mapped to the "code" PrntScr" (Drück in german, where I live). I have done some tests / I have tried to understand what's happening and find a workaround (I haven't find any). I use Win 10 Enterprise - no clue about MAC. Please note, if you are using MX Keys Mini for Mac in Windows OS, we would need to change the layout of the keyboard first to Windows by pressing Fn+O (O in Oscar) or Fn+P for 3 seconds.įeel free to get back to us if you have any further clarification and we will be happy to assist you.Ĭompany wide we use another "Screen Capture Tool" (Snagit) and I I was not able to find any solution to force your (absurd) "F8"-Screenshot-Key to use something else then "MS SNIP & SKETCH Tool". That creates screenshots and nothing will appear on the screen, but once you go into your folders, it will appear under your Quick Access/Screenshot folder. If the above steps failed, use the key combination, Opt|Start + Camera Key. We can also reassign the key combination "Fn+Camera Keys" to the same Camera keys using Logi Options software. If you want to use only the Camera Key to screenshot, first press Fn+Esc and check. As informed in the other post, please find the summary of the above post which suggests the various ways to take a screenshot:įn+ Camera key, Open a word file/ Microsoft paint, and Ctrl+V to paste the screenshotted picture.
